Our grinding media is always manufactured using single steel quality. This enables us to increase the hardnesses to the maximum, as the chemical composition for the steel is fixed per ball size.
Single steel quality is the foundation of our quality. It enables very stabile quality for grinding media, when the whole production process is optimized for both steel and the ball.
Dual heat treatment is a technology developed by Crossparts originally to most demanding SAG mill balls.
Instead of using the remaining heat from quenching for self-tempering, we are tempering our SAG balls twice in a cycle developed by ourselves.
This guarantees a 99,99 % cracking resistant balls, making sure that every ball in the mill is doing the work it`s supposed to do.
